Belly Dance Instructor, Performer
Emily began her formal belly dance education in 2012 with Improvisational Tribal Style classes. In addition to taking dancing and drumming classes, Emily attended classes and performed with a local charity fundraising group based out of Loveland, CO.
Emily joined Satori after dancing with many Satori members during the worldwide belly dance charity event, Shimmy Mob in 2014. After advancing into the Satori troupe, Emily began performing at the Akropolis Greek Restaurant in Fort Collins with her fellow troupe members. Since joining Satori, Emily has continued to hone her dance skills by attending classes in both the local and extended community. She has studied with world-class dancers such as Rachel Brice, Silvia Salamanca, and Sadie Marquardt.
Her experiences have taught her that the art of belly dance is more than an individual effort−it creates a dance community in which all ages can learn and participate. Emily is thrilled to be teaching belly dance classes for ages 13 and under at the Satori Dance and Drum Studio and hopes to help foster a love and appreciation of dance in new dancers.
