Satori Dance is a Northern Colorado belly dance company directed by Rio that has been around since November of 2007. It was created at the request of others in the dance community as a haven for improvised belly dance and learn-at-your-own-pace style teaching. Rio’s class emphasis is on the projected energy of the performance, movements, muscle memory and short combinations as well as strength building exercises intended to develop the muscles needed to support and control body movements during the dance.
